Consultation Fees
St Albans Osteopathy has some of the most competitive fees in Christchurch, with no extra charge for the initial consultation or for completing an ACC45 injury claim form to register a new accident.
The practice does not have EFTPOS or credit card facilities. Please pay by either cash, cheque (payable to Philip Bayliss) or internet banking at the time of your appointment.

Late cancellations and missed appointments
There is no fee for rescheduling (even within 24 hours, provided that you keep that appointment), but please give as much notice as possible as someone else may need that appointment. Please give at least 24 hours notice if you wish to cancel. If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice or miss an appointment, you will be liable for the full private consultation fee (ACC does not contribute to the cost of missed appointments). If you reschedule an appointment at less than 24 hours’ notice and then subsequently cancel it, you will be liable for the full private fee. If you pay for a late cancellation or missed appointment within 21 days, you will receive a 50% discount (i.e. you will only need to pay 50% of the private fee). Any fees unpaid 21 days after invoice will loose the 50% discount.
Philip Bayliss would like to apologise for this policy, which is needed due to the inconsiderate actions of a small minority of people resulting in others in pain not being able to receive timely treatment. Also, loss of revenue, if continued, would have resulted in others having to pay higher fees. This policy helps enable St Albans Osteopathy to have very competitive fees.
ACC
Osteopaths have been recognised by ACC for 20 years. ACC are declining more claims and don't subsidise as many treatments. For details of eligibility, see the ACC section of the home page.
Medical insurance
Most policies cover osteopathy. If you are not sure if your policy does, please ask your insurance company. If your policy does cover osteopath treatment, you should pay the fee for your osteopath treatment at the time of your appointment. You will be given a receipt, which you can then present to your insurance company for a refund.
WINZ beneficiaries
WINZ may be able to help you with the cost of osteopathic treatment. Please talk to WINZ about it. Philip will help you with any documentation required. You should pay the fee for your osteopath treatment at the time of your appointment. You will be given a receipt, which you can then give to WINZ.
